what my patients are saying
Your Questions Answered
How do I pay for my consultation?
We are contracted with Discovery Medical Aid–specifically the Classic plan. Patients with other medical aids are asked to pay upfront and claim back directly.
I’m pregnant—when should I schedule my first consultation?
Your first pregnancy appointment is best scheduled between 6-8 weeks from your last period. We’ll perform an ultrasound to confirm your stage of pregnancy.
Do I need to shave or wax before my appointment?
It’s entirely up to you. Shaving or waxing isn’t necessary unless you prefer it.
Can I still attend my consultation while I'm on my period?
Absolutely. Having your period won’t affect your appointment; examinations, including Pap smears, can still be performed comfortably.
Where should I go in an emergency as a patient of Dr Chambers?
For emergencies, contact our office immediately. After hours, head directly to the Maternity Ward if you’re over 20 weeks pregnant. Otherwise, visit the Emergency Unit. Dr Chambers will be notified after your assessment.
Does Dr Chambers perform VBACs (Vaginal Birth After Caesarean)?
Yes, Dr Chambers supports VBACs when safe and appropriate conditions are met.
